In-Car Rally Video from Ridgecrest Shakedown Rally - Clip 1

In-car footage from our rented Ford Focus SVT Rally Car. The video was taken during the California Rally Series "Shakedown" event at the new Area 51.5 rally venue in Ridgecrest, California. We have a bit of a poor end to the stage after an off and mechanical failure, but the footage is fun otherwise.

Pretty cool! With regards to the "Don't call pace notes" thing, you guys need to buy Richard Burns Rally and a steering wheel and practice for a few weeks. RBR has a pretty good driving feel, so it shouldn't screw with your driving too much while giving you "in-car" time to add that extra channel in your brain for processing the notes info from the co-pilot.

Actually, we both have rally experience and know how to run with pace notes. The problem was that we did not have "official" notes (nor was the rally computer installed in the car) and so the one corner he called out completely came out of the blue! I was so surprised by him talking that I didn't know what to do with it. I know that sounds silly, but it's the truth.
