  • Thank you gehennathehorse, you have made me so happy that I'm in tears.

I first saw the lovable sports back in 1987 in a small club called Stairways, in Birkenhead. I had a lovely time on 2 orange micro dots.

  • i love this song, think its sad yet uplifting at the same time.was at the astoria when the past and present played this together as an encore.one of the best things i have ever witnessed

  • shit. please say this is the night....is this the night at the

Astoria where everyone stayed and watched The Stupids afterwards?

  • Magic.

    I love cardiacs, really.

  • brilliant

    get well soon Tim

  • Priceless - in a league of their own.

  • around the 35 second mark and elsewhere in the track really reminds me of 'in the court of the crimson king'.. I wonder if this a a deliberate nod/wink/reference/homage?

  • Gourd bless ya Tim.

The instant appeal of this song and the others made me buy the album on the spur of the moment all those years ago when I heard it in a 'record' shop in Inverness. Total class never equalled by any other band.

You were ahead of your time. Others are following in your footsteps and you deserve the glory.

    Tim, get better soon.

  • In the 1980s, the Cardiacs were probably the greatest live act of all time.

    Get well soon Tim!

  • This song and "Cortez the killer" by Niel Young allways make me well up,dunno why?

I love Cardiacs and hope Timmy is feeling a bit better,it would be a sad sad place indeed if there were no Cardiacs about.
