Steve Lessard

On Jan. 28, 2011, the Walla Walla County sheriff changed the locks on Whitman Cellars because the winery had defaulted on more than $2 million in loans. Steve Lessard, Whitman's winemaker, now is focusing all of his attention on Corvus Cellars, the winery he owns with longtime friend Randall Hopkins. The two launched Corvus with the 2005 vintage and last fall moved the winery into an incubator building at the Walla Walla Regional Airport. In this interview, we talk with Lessard about Corvus and his experiences in the wine industry.
