PS22 Chorus "Jingle Bells" at Saks 5th Avenue Windows Unveiling

On Monday, the PS22 Chorus helped add some holiday cheer to the Saks 5th Avenue Windows Unveiling in Manhattan. The kids gave a Christmas-themed performance, singing some holiday classics as well as some of their biggest hits thus far this year. It was an amazing time for the kids and for all who were lucky enough to witness the performance, including Phil Donahue, Marlo Thomas, Fern Mallis, and Nannette Lepore. Also on hand to perform was Tony Award-winning Broadway actress, Kristen Chenoweth, who performed a beautiful version of "I'll Be Home For Christmas." A fantastic night!

This version of "Jingle Bells" (traditional) was put together at rehearsal in the afternoon just before the performance later that evening. The kids bring their own flavor to this holiday classic, and were quite happy (especially John) to perform it. After the song is done, stay tuned for some great PS22 Chorus testimonials from Phil Donahue and Marlo Thomas, and a peak at some of the windows and the kids' reactions. And I've said it before, I'll say it again...... Bruce rocks.

good ears, suz! i just realized that myself literally only minutes before you posted your comment! funny enough, i actually made this arrangement for jingle bells BEFORE we did "there" in 2008. it was first performed in our 2003 winter concert, just to keep the record of me completely ripping off my own arrangements straight.... ;)
