A: depends i think the WAD CHANNEL is better less steps but as you saw ether will work the dol needs you to boot the homebrew channel naturally...

Wiigator 0.3 beta setup...

Step 1: connect your wii to the internet via ethernet or wifi and run CIOS install that comes with the megaupload link http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OLZZUJSJ
....THIS GRABS THE IOS FROM SERVER AND THE FILES NEEDED AND IT INSTALLS THEM AUTOMATIC NO RISK! (nice huh?)

Step 2: install the DOL for the homebrew channel... or the channel wad i made and enjoy! it REALLY is that simple!

You can only play games that are burned with a

DVD-R burner not with a DVD+R that doesn't work

And for burning original wii games you wil need a LG DVD-drive only LG DVD-drive's can copy GOOD wii games the others sucks;)
