Vimto Fizzy - Slushee (Made with the Retro Slush Machine).
Note: When using carbonated/fizzy drinks in the slush machine, it's best to flatten/de-fizz them first, otherwise it will take longer to slush & won't be as thick, (according to the instruction manual).
Pre-chilling drinks in the fridge also speeds up the slushing process.

Did you dilute the vimto first? I guess the ice does it instead...

@MrTheminotaur No, I didn't dilute it, it's still as sweet as it normally is because the machine turns the drink into fine crystals of ice, there's no extra ice added to the drink so no dilution occurs. Soda/pop/juice is poured into the machine as it is. However, when using a cordial (e.g. Ribena), you need to dilute that with water like you normally would.

@roughruffian the video makes it seem louder than it really is. It's about as loud as a hairdryer on medium speed.

@pasotraiteur Overall, yes, but it's a slightly different texture. It's most like "Fanta Frozen" or "Slush Puppie" but the ice is even smaller crystals than those so it has a thicker, heavier texture.

It's completely different to Carbonated ice drinks though, (e.g: Tango Ice Blast, Slurpee, Icee etc) those are fluffy, airy, light, & dry.

it tastes great, not weak at all, as long as the drink has 10% sugar then it's fine. If using a squash/cordial like Ribena I just use a little bit more squash than normal to make sure it'll freeze good.

@ellocheekie I had a little vimto left in the 2-litre bottle, so yeah I poured that into the cup afterwards. The glass contains pure slush though.
