They were trying to stop ATROCITIES being committed by the US against Vietnamese civilians (My Lai etc), & their FRIENDS being sent to DIE/be CRIPPLED for a war we had no business being involved in in the first place. @BIRDMAN4040 Or he assumed he simply had the power to grab people. A lot of what was going on during this time was about power and who had it, who didn't, what its limits were and what they should be by the laws of our country. Kent State was about an abuse of power in response to fear and resentment.

@peelugum according to the female (who contacted me after the video was posted) when her friend was arrested for underage drinking, she approached the officer to ask when she could pick her friend up. She claims there was no reason the officer grabbed her, and that he must have assumed she was trying to cause trouble.
