@pwnerman225 well people refer to the gamboy color as a GBC and a gameboy advance as a GBA ect. well for the original gameboy they call it a DMG for short, or DMG-01 to specific.
hope tat helps

@pwnerman225 dude seriously D: you dont know what a DMG is!
DMG= the brick its the gameboy itself!!!

-

You guys should make another tutorial with 1080p quality and just show the gameboy. It's hard to see what you guys are doing.

@nonfinite132 I agree, taking the thing apart is the easy part, if you can't do that you should probably give this a miss.
-
Yeah, I hope they do that!
yeah and it doesn't help that by the time he starts the tutorial the pcb is already out. My dmg is attached with a big fat white wire inside. That's where I'm stuck. Damn. 'Guess I should have taken a course in electronics first...' Yeah right.

That big fat wire is called a ribbon cable. Grasp it between your thumbs and index fingers and pull straight back.
I assume those watching this video have a bit of electronics skill already. If you're having difficulty separating the two PCBs, backlighting might prove to be difficult for you.
