I think big box marts are actually on their way out. Go into Best buy, Office Depot Lowes -- they have nothing there that you came into buy. Its always - "Oh, you can only get that product on our website." Circuit City and Best Buy are going down, and it won't be too long before Wal-Mart and Target will be doing the majority of their business as online, mark my words.

ultimately it is the consumers fault. walmart wouldn't make it or would sell more american products if people made an actual effort to purchase them or shop and "pro-usa product" stores...

Workers & consumers must demand a more fair distribution of profits; a fair living wage for workers, and maybe $5 million per year rather than $10 million for CEO's. Don't you get it - rather than 'trickling down', all profits are concentrated upwards to the 1%. Why do we agree to the favoured few getting all the cookies, while we get none? We argue FOR them, against our own interests. Vote with the few dollars you have, and do not contribute to this system of slavery and debt bondage!

And how does that kill big box mart? Internet shopping just makes it easier for them and eliminates all store employees. Now if they didn't adapt then, sure. But they are adapting.

If we go back to making things in America then the prices for all of the products we use will go up while our wages stay the same, this is because the capitalists need to have a net gain in money so they either A)Outsource to foreign lands where the labor is cheap. or B)Use internal labor that demands more money. Then they can either raise the price of products or lower the wage of labor. Ultimately capitalism is an exploitative system wealth has to come from somewhere.
