  • And, religious people don't immediately disregard, ignore, or dislike science. Not in anyway, and people will not reject the things science has given, and yet a lot of the time he takes the attitude that every religious person has a vendetta against science and won't acknowledge what it has done. Also, not all inventions can be attributed to science. Would you classify a toilet as a scientific invention, or something that someone just put together to do a job?

  • @JDiddly3 "Also, not all inventions can be attributed to science."

I must have missed the part where Dawkins attributes all inventions to science. Mind linking me the time he says that?

  • @fongster62 "it is really superstitious to believe that the sun and the stars would have an effect on human behaviour?"

Not only is it superstitious, it's delusional.

"and gravity doesn´t exist of course because i can´t see it"

Wow. No, be we can test/calculate it's affect on us. You act like astrology is a cutting edge idea that has yet to be tested. I think you need to see James Randi in action, then you can move up to Dawkins.

  • 4:35 Imagine just randomly walking into that gypsy convention and the first thing you saw was Mr. Dawkins playing some weird flute o.0

  • @JDiddly3 I'm not sure you could say vast majority when considering the whole world, no matter how small your perspective world. I congratulate the religious people who accept science and I have all the more to agree with them. But I also think they are taking away most of the meaning from their religion in most cases. If Genesis isn't literal then there is no original sin.

  • @JDiddly3 You: "And what does the second point even mean?"

You: "And there is contradiction here, he says 'have given us the ability to educate ourselves, express creativity, and ponder existence', whereas his message here, and always has been that evolution is fact and everything in science is fact and anything else is wrong and superstitious."

It's regarded as superstitious for a reason. That's because people believe it regardless of the evidence. Would you prefer the word delusion?

  • I want this video on my M-4580n unit.

  • @rickysims212 Thanks...?

  • @FreeThinker148 Yes, and they would have to be very, very easily pleased and people who are a considerable distance up their own arses who think they are awfully superior, and feel the need to laugh hysterically at someone's mistake which has little relevance to anything in the universe. They too would probably get great kicks out of toilet and slapstick humor if it takes that much for them to laugh that hard.

  • @urantivirus And what does the second point even mean? I didn't mention evidence of any type. I'm repeated the context of what he was saying, where did you get the word 'evidence' from? I don't even think that, that was kind of the point. And I'm not disputing the factual attributes of science, so what was your point exactly?

  • @JDiddly3 And you're completely wrong on the third point as well, and it is very ignorant of anyone to say something like that. The vast majority embrace science and the great things it has accomplished, and they live with them all the time. You may have already made the retarded assumption that religious people are stupid, but they absolutely are not, they understand science and believe it, just not all parts, and considering a broad a subject science is, isn't saying a whole lot.

  • @urantivirus Well no you're wrong. I know many people who grew up religious and aren't anymore, and my paretns have multiple friends who grew up atheists and converted. And when you say plenty of countries, I assume the only countries you're talking about, because these are the only countires where conversion is strongly discouraged and/or illegal, are middle-eastern countries. This isn't the case in most countries on Earth you will find.

  • @JDiddly3

90-95% of people who read your comment will laugh out loud before not responding because they'd only repeat what Urantivirus wrote.

  • @JDiddly3 Look what you did! You made me feel bad now. I apologize. I have to admit for someone to admit even the slighest thing they did wrong is admirable.
