How to Jailbreak iPhone 3G with new 3.0 firmware

Here is how i jailbroke my iPhone 3g with the new 3.0 firmware. This uses the program PwnageTool, found at:

and only works for mac users

i think ive messed up my phone man!

i downloaded the 3.0 iswp loaded it up in quickpwn and now theres no carrier (signal) and then i read a post saying i should of used redsnow and thats just made it worse. i just have the apple logo now. ;(

but try just restoring you phone by plugging it in, or if that doesn't work there is a manuel way to do it with buttons.

Yo man, i need some help, my iphones jailbroken 2.2. if i wanna do this will it mess up my carrier? i need it open and unlocked.

I'm not sure what you mean mess up your carrier. Basically what this does is restore your iphone to 3.0 while including the custom jailbreak. This means to get all your phone info and data back you have to restore with backup once the restore is complete, which is an option when going through itunes restore

I have used (UnlockYourAppleiPhone . Com) and it did the job.

Just a couple of minutes and my iPhone is now unlocked and works great.

Everything went smooth and it was really fast!
