16-year-old Jay Moriarity launched into one of the most spectacular wipeouts in history. The image of an airborne Moriarity about to face annihilation was displayed on the cover of Surfer magazine.

Jay, you had skill... but that DOES NOT MEAN other 16 year olds do!
Crazy, Jay survived this but didnt survive free diving:!??! Just goes to show you never know in mother nature or ocean! Take caution always.
Jay was a great longboarder too in small waves. Too bad....
