@indesignkat I noticed a few similarities between Under the Influence and Alison Hell as well. I'd actually just chalk it up to a coincidence. Both bands were writing music around the same time and obviously had the same influence so it's pretty reasonable that they might have the same idea every now and then. I know Jeff tried not to incorporate too much from his contemporaries.

wow.. beginning sounds almost exactly like Overkill's Drunken Wisdom. I know Queensryche ripped off Gustafson's signature Overkill riff, but have no idea whether Overkill or Annihilator came up with this first.
