  • im sorry my man but you are wrong, if you were a silent hill fan then you would know that in the first game they say its snowing.

ive played the first game multiple times i know and if you dont believe me look it up on youtube, cutscenes silent hill.

  • It's snow. Play the first game. Harry says that its snowing in the very beginning of the game. the ash, like someone said earlier was added by the director of the movie.

  • Well, it's not like I remember a dialogue that states that it's snow, BUT I'm sure that there is neither any point in the game where it's said to be ash. So a logical conclusion: it's snow. What else?

Another "proof", is that the music that playes while you're exploring the town is called "Summer Snow".

Why wouldn't snow make sense? I mean, winters do exist, you know? Even in Silent Hill I'd say. And I've always found Silent Hill to be a very chilly town.

  • who said is snow?, if it is snow i think it would be logic that the streets were covered in snow ,like in the shatered m....thing and they're not. It doesn't make sense, period, but again, if you can tell me where can i find out what it really is......ok my mistake

  • Of course it was snow in the first game. The ash was something the director of Silent Hill movie came up with himself.

Considering how Silent Hill is this demonic town that's always different depending on the main character and his personal fears, I see no reason why ice wouldn't make just as much sense as rust does.

  • look man i don't know what the f*ck you're saying, and on the first game is not snow what you see falling, are ashes. this shattered memories thing it just don't make f*cking sense

  • probably it fits because its snowing? Didn' the first game have snow too? The dark hellish one is more scary and fitting too because, if i am not mistaken, the monster are demons?

  • that doesn't really answers my first question does it, whaterer, i'm not going to buy this game anyway

  • oops, i meant the envoirnment, the characters, the monsters, the plot, the cutscenes, the dialogue of people (including harry), and other stuff.

  • so i may get the classic otherworld? i don't think so
