I'm praying for your enlightenment. When you begin to realize the false teachings you have presented to people remember God loves and forgives you.

What a pathetic thing, a "green" bible.

It's blasphemy if we don't take care of our God-given body, God's earth and God's creatures!

What are the chances of dealing out any particular order of a deck of cards? The odds are incredible against it. You can't look at the odds AFTER the fact.
Hey, if people need to believe in something, so be it. As long as the change is for good. However, many times religion (man-made, as all religions are) are more divisive than unifying (Jews and Muslims, Protestants and Catholics).
What's frightening is the kind of Christians that forget that God uses words for a reason in His book. He has an intent. Look at the things God says, back to front, about his creation. Just look at Genesis or the story of Noah. He's not using language that devalues LIFE or HIS CREATION ever. He passes Judgment, he is God after all, but he never turns against the Earth or the Animals as humans have done. Point being, I don't think God's too keen about extinction or deforestation.

Thanks for the posts. I appreciate the exchange. There is no doubt God has appointed "Man" Steward over his creation and that "Man" has a responsibility to be a good steward! The problem begins (and this is the problem with The Green Bible) when the Bible is filled with commentary which wrenches scripture completely out of context and attempts to force application that isn't there!

"God dictates what is orthodox through scripture. Scripture must be preeminent. "

So any fool 2,000 years ago could claim to be inspired by god, hear "his" voice, and "his" word would be taken as truth? I mean, you folks REALLY believe this? Ha!
Oh... you really do. My bad.

The test isn't just any fool. The test is the hundreds of Old Testament prophesies written of the coming Messiah generations before his birth. For instance; In his book, "Science Speaks", mathematician Professor Peter Stoner calculates the chance of one man fulfilling just 8 of the prophecies concerning the Messiah is 1 in a 100,000,000,000,000,000. The test is in the writings of contemporary non-believing witness who testify to the life of Jesus. The test is in the millions of changed lives.

God dictates what is orthodox through scripture. Scripture must be preeminent. Culture changes, values change, but the word of God is timeless. For Christians, scripture is the sacred words of God to mankind and must keep it's place of authority in all matters of faith and practice in the believer's life. Of course action is important. It is the fruit of our relationship. However, it cannot replace it.
