@4ftofflame, sort of. In the rest of the world, the police are generally kind, even if you run from them and get caught. In the USA, if you run from the cops, they'll chase you with every fiber of their being, and if they catch you, they are likely to beat the crap out of you (cuz you're endangering them by "making" them chase you), taze you, pepper spray you, and then slap you with every single infraction they can get you for, including felony evasion which is like a serious jail/prison term.
