It never occurred to me before, but it does make sense. There are people whose ideals come not from Jesus or the Bible or logic. They believe some of the most ridiculous things because their peers do.
I think they fear Atheism because they're afraid to wake up and determine what's real for themselves.

Atheism isn't a "force" for anything, since it is merely a DENIAL of a proposition. Saying "I don't agree with you" is not even a claim for something else
