he states in another vid that the boost gauge is from a
WWII era twin engine plane which was supercharged. One pointer is hooked up to show the boost measured before the throttle plate, the other pointer measures the boost after the throttle. Apparently, he hooked it up this way so he could measure the pressure loss across the butterfly.

Yeah definitely a boost gauge, the two needles are probably for peak and holding boost
