Last spring, we had the chance to sit down with Cary Brothers before the Hotel Café Tour stop in Minneapolis, MN. He spoke about Zach Braff putting him on the "Garden State" soundtrack, why he stayed independent for his first full LP, writing for a new album, and the experience of touring the country with a bunch of your friends.
Unfortunately, the interview was plagued with technical problems, including a camera that stayed off for 2 questions, and a sound check in the building that greatly affected the sound quality of parts of the interview. After several futile attempts and fixing the sound, we finally just cut together a sound check-free version of the interview, which we present to you here.
But since we really liked Cary's lengthy answer to our question about the current state of the music industry, we've also posted it up as Bonus Footage, even if the sound check interrupts a lot of it. The Bonus Footage can be found here:
