*FOR BEST QUALITY, VIEW IN HQ (it should start playing in HQ automatically), BUT NOT IN FULLSCREEN*

Part One of a 17-minute one-act play written in 1916 by Louise Bryant. I directed this piece o' crap (nah just kidding guys LOL!) for my directing (theatre) class back in Spring '09. It was my first time directing ANYTHING, and it was a hell of an experience LOL.

"The Game" Synopsis:
The Spirits of Life (Sha'Lane Chatenay) and Death (Sebastian Cuevas) are locked in eternal battle with one another (Well. Sort of. Let's just say there's dice involved) over the lives of all mortals that walk the earth. Today's game involves two young artistic geniuses - a poet (Joshua Quinn) and a dancer (Kelli Moore) - determined to commit suicide upon concluding that their lives are empty and not worth living for........both having looked for Love in all the wrong places.

Part Two should be up by tomorrow or the next day. :)

To Sha'Lane, Sebastian, Josh, Kelli, and Kyle (stage manager):
Wow. Eight months later and I FINALLY managed to get this thing up (that's what he said HAHAHAHAHA. Ehem.). I would pull the old "had lotsa schoolwork to do" excuse outta my ass, but I did have the whole summer, so - negative. LOL, sorry it took so freakin long.
I enjoyed working with each of you immensely. Thank you for being a part of my show, for working so hard, for putting up with the demands involved (and COUGH-meandmyinexperience-COUGH), and for making my first-ever directing experience such a memorable one, not to mention how much invaluable knowledge I gained from each one of you. Hope you love the video and what I did with it. You guys did a great job (really Kelli. So NO cringing outta you!!!). Maybe one of these days we can get together and do a director/cast audio commentary huh? ;)

  • I seriously think this is supposed to be a dramatic script... Not comedic. Though, the acting is pretty good though! =)
