  • man this guys articulate and unpretentious. I will check out his films.

  • Opportunity to watch these interviews is such an incredible gift. This amazing atheist has found and portrayed God in his films so much deeper then so many openly religious filmmakers.

  • Thank You So Much for uploading this!

  • I find what he says from 5:40-6:40 to be very profound. I really enjoy Ingmar Bergman's movies.

  • Artists' lies are true though: they just call them 'works'.

  • exactly dude, artist can't lie

  • Bergman = GOD

  • thanks for this documentary.precious moments where Bergman is talking to actors while they are playing.beautiful

  • i don´t understand you. i really try, but ... what bergman said was, that he started to feel free without the conception of an entity that is perfect in his mind ("god"), for he as a man would always be less good than that perfect entity - but he simply does not mention a punishing god, didn´t think of him like that, i gather, ´cause he thought him to be perfect and therefore free of anger (when he, bergman, was a believer). Best regards, B

  • What I meant was:The God he is describing does not exist, but maybe he too is wondering wheather there is something else out there except for the punishing God.Just maybe...Sorry for any imperfections, now or earlier.

  • watch your syntax. iam not a native english-speaker, but your comment is free of identifiable content because of its strange syntactical structure (apart from sentence one) ! If I interpret it right, you mean: he said it´s ridicolous, but he didn´t mean it. my answer: I don´t think we ought to start patronizing a man like bergman. If he said it, he meant it. Believers have to accept atheists otherwise there is no possibility of free-thinking !
