@JohnDowneyWilson They are to cease fellowship, or practive church discipline in hopes that them man may repent. Its ridiculous to say "turn him over to Satan so that HE WILL DIE and his spirit will be saved" What are saying exactly? Do you see how blinded you are by your traditions?

@mastersman1 Uh no---the man in 1 CO 5:5 was guilty of sleeping with his step mother. Also, are you suggesting that the "destruction of the flesh" meant the mans death? It doesnt, its the equivelant of "crucifying the flesh", doing away with his carnality. and as I suggested in the other thread to someone: 1CO 5:5 is actually a verse against OSAS "turn him over to satan (cease fellowship)...so that his spirit MAY be saved" it suggests if they dont his spirit will not be saved.

@JohnDowneyWilson The video proves nothing. The man they are talking about in the video apparently is guilty of the same thing as the man in I Corinthians 5 who has been turned over to the devil for DESTRUCTION (like the verse you quoted) but the man has not lost his salvation even though he is not repentant. You need to get your salvation doctrine from the Church Epistles. There is only one believer in 2Peter2. LOT! Bought does not mean saved. LOT should prove my point, but...Have it your way.

Did you watch the video? 1But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord THAT BOUGHT THEM, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.4For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell...21For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness.... 2 peter 2. This is clearly talking about someone who was saved but turned

Which sin causes you to lose salvation? Just the big ones? Just the ones YOU dont commit? You are a sinner like all of us! If you can lose it, you can lose it for ANY sin. You are lost by your own doctrine. You cannot get saved twice! Just ask Moses about striking the Rock twice, and then read Hebrews.
