The Zune pwns the iPod in almost every way, but it lacks in avaiable storage. An easy hack has been buzzing around the internet lately that allows you to upgrade your Zune's HDD to up to 100GB!

Now its easy for you to try it yourself with my video outlining all the steps.

If you don't feel like trying this yourself but are still interested I'm selling these beatiful beasts on eBay for LESS than compairable video iPods....hrmm.....

  • Put the camera on a tripod to avoid the attendant headache with the camera jiggle. Plus what is the purpose of the music? It just takes away from what you are saying? I am sick of how-vids with underlying music, what is the purpose?

  • @pelverud

Dude I don't know, I was 15 or something. I wasn't and still wouldn't dedicate more than the minimal amount of effort or time or production value to a free on-line how-to video. Who cares?

  • Hey, don't you need to format the drive before you install it? How would you go about doing that?

  • Thank god this video is still up. I remember watching it back in 07 when I got my Zune, thinking I might need this information one day. Sure enough my zune took a hard fall and now needs to be replaced, but I plan on switching the hard drive over to another 30 gb Zune. This is just what I needed. Thanks.

  • @k3ntairulz

It would be now, yeah. Do people not check the dates on what they're watching?

  • Shitty tool set,

But the video and music were pretty interesting.

    9/10 bro.

  • @k3ntairulz Easier yes, but it's 100% more cost effective to put it together piece meal. It may seem stupid, but people make serious money off of doing this kind of thing.

  • Awesome. This actually gave me the idea of switching out my dead battery for one in a Zune I've had sitting in a drawer with a broken hard drive for ages. I actually feel incredibly stupid I never thought of it before now. Love my Zune, so I'm pumped that it's a go again.

  • But can it run XP? :P
