Heh, bought a .500 AHR some time ago. Similar to a .500 Jeffery, but the maximum dimensions that can be shoehorned into a CZ550 Magnum action. About time and a half the energy a .458 Win Mag makes. I'm saving up for something bigger. yeah, the .500 AHR will knock over anything with four legs on it, but why stop there? Not planning on using it for hunting, there wouldn't be much left.

you need to speak with my friend on having him make you a

cannon. he made him a muzzle loader one & half inch Bore.

he has won national cannon shoot with it.

Friend had a gunshop in Auckland New Zealand.He had someone come in trying to get a good price on their ...*wait for it* 375 H&H bolt action rifle...we asked "Wtf did you use that for."..."Deer hunting"...our reply was " Uh huh,let us guess,you used it to dress them out at the same time didnt ya"......you could see him think for a moment...yueah,it did fk a lot of meat...Sheesh!

@donze52 Sounds pretty awesome. Though I prefer to do my loading at home, since when we do get a chance to go out shooting we don't have enough time. Though I have taken a look at a few cannons, I'll bet they'd be a lot of fun, get all our lead downrange in a couple of shots.

In reality, there is no need for a rifle this large in the US unless it's strictly for target shooting.
