t4705mb6- You don't know how right your silly statement is, the bible has two covenants written down for us to live and to learn from. The old/new covenants were laws of the flesh/spirit, but they were both faulty, the old was faulty b/c it showed your sins but could'nt remove them. The new was faulty b/c God didn't completly reveal it. In the time of the end he will do it by combining the two together into one covenant, thereby completing his word.

I bombarded the pastor who discipled me with the same questions. The answer is that the morality was age relative, God was (and is) unchanging.
Basically, God is unchanging albeit He always was and is adaptable to the age progress of mankind (humanity). Many who accept the New Covenant are misled to believing all of the old are to be discarded, that is vanity. It is vanity that only my fellow believers (brother-sister Christians and believers in other faiths) can accomplish.
This is complex.

Christians Jesus was a Jew and much more moral than you.

Think Venomfang actually explained that in one of his videos

"Atheists just don't understand the Old Testament they quote is from Judaism as reference to events leading up to the New. The only parts in the Old of significance to Christians are words believed to come from God, acts of God, historical accounts, & things reemphasized in the New. Much of the beliefs in the Old (child sacrifice, ordained violence, etc) are dismissed in the New. The New Testament contains the teachings of Jesus Christ and thus the foundation of Christianity."

The only 3 real commandments
1. Dont Rape
2. Dont Kill
3. Dont Torture
All other situations are to the discrimination of the human race as a society to deem acceptable or otherwise.

I think the 10 commandments are moral standards that don't even need the writing or the bible... It is just common sense. Or at least half of them, the other half was made up by christian leaders to control the people and prosecute the rational thinking non-believers. Remarkable is that there are 5 places in the bible where they can be found. And if they were given to us by a god they should be the same, but they aren't. For example Exodus 34 also says that other religions shoulod be anihilated.

This is the right track here. Whenever someone has a biblical/religious position, they should be able to support/defend it with scriptural evidence, right?
Paul's writings indicate that the "Law"
(OT)is a "curse" and that those who live by the law are under the penalties that the law stipulates. (Galatians)
Paul also says "All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient". (1 Corinthians 6:12)
Paul wrote the majority of the New Testament. Does he know what he's talking about?
