i did exactly like you said but once i sync it, it doesn't show up in my ringtones folder on my iphone. help!!

Thanks for your post. It helped me a lot, especially the file extension trick. I also dragged the tone into my iphone, cause I couldn't see it in ringtones, not sure if that was correct, but finally got my ringtone.

@08britt53 If you right click on the file and you do not see the Create the AAC, left Click on your file, up the top click a tab called advanced - Create AAC version.

i don't have the option to create the AAC. what should i do? or is there anything i can do?

@thehocuspocus9 If you don't have alot of music on your IPhone then just erase and sync, and put back on what you had

Oh yes!!! Finally!! Been trying to do this for ages and the secret all along was control panel and change the hidden file extension!! Thanks so much, you've saved me a fortune and solved the one thing I missed about my blackberry, my exact choice of ringtone :)
