Messing around with some improv blues...

Gibson R7 Historic '57 Les Paul Goldtop ('05 w/ RS electronics, stock BurstBucker pickups), into Dr. Z Mazerati GT amp (set to distort), into custom oversized 2-12 (Scumback 65-watt large dustcap G12M-75, 65-watt H55 speakers).

Guitar's volumes and tones are rolled down to exhibit the amp's ability to clean up when set to an overdriven tone.

Recorded with the crappy built-in mic in the Canon Digital Elph (SD750).

  • Thanks for the clean bluesy post. Most videos show off the full blown distorted side of the Mazerati GT but don't elaborate on the cleaner side. I'm looking hard at one of these... Best clean clip I have heard yet of the GT!

  • very cool clip, sounds and playing... I'd like to hear it as you roll the volume knobs up. Thanks for sharing!

  • Great playing and tone, John! Thanks for sharing this. The amp sounds great, and looks sweet with the hardwood panel. This is one of the best Mazerati GT clips I've heard.
