The 7.0 magnitude earthquake on January 12th, 2010 in Haiti had devastating consequences on Haiti's way of life. Unfortunately, a year after the disaster, Haiti is still suffering, and the world has forgotten about the desperately needy.
The National Society of Black Engineers, University of Michigan Chapter (NSBE-UM) has decided to set up a donation fund for a grassroots fund, the Croix Marchaterre Project. Our aim is to raise at least $2000 to pay for a deep water well, school supplies, medical supplies, and student scholarships.
