The death penalty IS a deterrent to crime. It makes sure that person never kills again. Yes, sometimes times you do something & you deserves to die. Even some of the killers will tell you that.

The death penalty is not a deterrent to crime, and places a load on an innocent family. I know these criminals have committed terrible, depraved acts, but their families do not deserve the loss of a family member.
