Hey loves,

This is a much requested video! How to do UV gel nails at home!! :D I'll be attempting to show you guys how I do UV gel nails by myself at home. I am sorry sometimes my hand goes out of the camera range, I will really try to not do that if I make a future gel nails tutorial! :[ I am definitely not a professional and I am in no way trying to tell you this is the right way to do your nails- just sharing with you guys My way of doing it. Gel nails are really time consuming but in my opinion really fun to do and worth my time :]

  • Im learnin how to do nails n ur way is fast n easy thanks

  • @Lauraydaniel22 yay! thanks for watching, i'm glad you like it :)

  • No matter what gel "system" you use, you NEED to use a primer. I also use this same exact gel and it does require that you use a primer. Please, don't give out advice if it's bad advice.

  • @mom2twoboyssn why would I intentionally give out bad advice? I'm just here to help any way I can, and like I've already said, I'm not a professional, so I've already given people fair warning that not all that I say is correct.

When I started learning how to do nails with this system, I was following the tutorials on gel-nails . com (which is where you can purchase the gels) and that did not say you had to use a primer, and they may be wrong, but that is just where I got my info from.

  • i love u..this was awesome :d

  • @anachics lol thank you so much!

  • @mariebk10 first, thanks for the tip. second, I didn't use a "primer" i used a "base gel" instead, different systems require different needs. thirds, i never said I was a professional and I still have much to learn, but I'm just trying to help any way that I can and I'm not saying that everything that I do is right. by the way, i dont have any clients, so why would I want to do their nails quickly and charge twice? thanks for watching!

  • @jINEZg make sure you read the instructions on the kit and that you cured it long enough, also different wattage of UV lamps take different amount of time. For example a 36watt UV lamp will dry something much faster than a 9 watt one.

Also, did you notice it was hard, but sticky? if it was hard, but sticky just use a cotton ball/pad, soak it with 70% isopropyl alcohol, and wipe off the sticky layer ( i mention that as the last step in my video) :) Let me know how that goes! :)

  • I just bought the IBD UV GEL Kit from Amazon... @ Home, I filed my already gel nails, applied a cost of Gel Bonder/Color Gel & tried to cure out under my UV lamp but it Did Not Dry/Cure...came out sticky! Please Help! What went Wrong?

  • @aiaiNkiki First you need to use a black cloth because we can not see your tip nails or what are you putting ontop of that white towell. Second at what time you are going to use the prime because I didn't see you using the primer. Seams that you are not a professional you just learn a little bit how to do gel nail but you are missing steps. Ops! you miss does steps on purpose so client nails come of quickly and you charge them twice right? and yolu will say that's the way to make money right!!!
