From 0:30 on is one of the best musical explications of how magnificent the future turned out to be in Star Trek.

@cubdukat Thanks for the tip friend. I checked out FSM and they've got a lot of information on the reissue, with lots of information and clips too.

@reformedfruit Most of the tracks in this list are from an unofficial version made from a DVD of the movie. Film Score Monthly released an official expanded edition next month which has most of these tracks and more, plus a remastered version of the original 1984 release. Apparently the expanded ST2 soundtrack sold so well that they could afford to do this one.

It's a shame that this track hasn't been released on CD yet.

That's fantastic. I didn't even know that an Expanded Score existed for this film. Thanks for posting this
0:32 i think i wore out my VHS copy of this movie listening to that majestic track that introduces the Genesis Planet.
James Horner's soundtrack for Wrath Of Khan and Search For Spock are amongst his best work. Excellent.

Share this with NO ONE! We are going to this planet. Even while our emmisaries are negotiating for peace. We will act for the preservation of OUR RACE!
