Gabe Coscarella solved the problem of sewage backup into homes and buildings with his patented Full-Port Backwater Valve that was instrumental in changing the National Plumbing Code of Canada.

  • @signupsigma well a diode rectifier allows positive voltage too flow towards the cathold but if you reverse it it will not allow it to flow. one direction valve keeps backup from entering a dwelling.

    i'm confused about the definition of back-up. Right now, I think it means "clogged" and then therefore backing up as more sewer flows, but I'm not sure.

  • @signupsigma it works like a two way valve. sewer travel is one direction that is away from your home in the line. if it backs up from the main it will allow a small amount to backup just enough to close the line going to your house. the sewer has another opening were it is re routed or just caped off.

  • please explain sewer backup please. I want to udnerstand the physics behind it.
