And then he said "we've not played this for about a year, out of principal, for some reason" :) and then something about "this sounds ridiculous cause it's pretty simple innit?" not completely sure aha

I'd like to think thanks to this gig and the crowds persistence in requesting this song - they've brought Latchmere back to the set list! Well, I saw them yesterday at Reading and they played Latchmere!!! So so soooo happy!!!!

@carlo88moe I think that if I missed a University Interview for The Maccabees it may be pushing the limits just a tad haha, but sometimes life gets in the way of what we really want to do and we can do nothing about it. Plus i'm going to see them in june so it isn't bothering me that much, I can just be a crazed fan at T in tthe Park.

@carlo88moe Yeah I saw them at a festival here in Scotland called Rockness a few years ago (not to sure what year) which was actually the first time I had ever heard them and I am going to see them again in June at the T in the Park festival which is unbelievably exciting. I was going to see them in March somewhere in Edinburgh but I have a university Interview in the way so I can't go.

me and my girlfriend, at the time, started chanting latchmere and everyone joined in. the band had to have a meeting onstage because they never play it. but they did it and it was fucking awesome. one of my favorite gig moments.

'latchmere's got a wave machine woooo-hoooo-wooo-hooo wooo-hooo!'
