Can someone help me please. I want to buy a copy of this movie with the German audio like this youtube video. I can't read the websites I found because I only speak english, so I don't know if the movies I've found are dubbed in German. Can someone send me a link, if you know of it? Thank you :)

@Amalganman I know all that. But sometimes it's inexcusably bad, like when they twist the meaning of what was said. Or when they translate too literally (nice example: the Big Bang (der Urknall in German) was translate as "Mega-Wumms" in a TV series). Or when the translation is just plain wrong (armour is often translated as "Armierung", i.e. concrete reinforcement). Also, I don't need to know all the languages in the world, only those I work with. The same goes for people who write dub texts.

@Tairneanach well writing subs and dubbing are quite different dont you think? i can write translations too, but a dubbed version doesnt just have to translate, it has to fit with the images, the movement of mouth eyes and toungues...so you just have to keep that ni mind when you dub something. i sure can just translate a movie in the best german i can, or i can make the movie worth watching...or, i can learn all the languages in the world... because that is what u did, didnt u? ;)

@Amalganman Er... No, they really, really aren't. I write subtitles for the hearing impaired for a living and I often use the original English script when writing German subtitles in order to get names and places right. This also means that I see a lot of translation errors and quite a few of those are utterly ridiculous. I can send you a word file with a list of mistakes I noticed during the three years that I have been working for this firm - and it's by no means complete.

@BoredAchi As far as i can tell most of the german dubbed versions are on a very high level. sure, there are some jokes that simply cannot be translated, but most of the jokes are build in in some way or another. there are many movies that are not english/american originals so do u want me to learn mandarin before i can watch an old jacky chan movie??

Well about this dubbing conversation I gotta say: If I knew swedish I'd watch it in original aswell, but as I don't I gotta stick to a dubbed one. Unfortunately sometimes sense and jokes really get lost in translation (haha, how ironic) I am originally german, but living in Ireland 4 years now, I couldn't watch english movies dubbed into german anymore, just cruel to listen to. Voices don't fit n so on, but not everyone speaks other languages to be able to do the same, what else should they do?

kann jemand den film vllt hochladne? :)

Yeah, because subtitles do so well transport the message and jokes do not get lost this way... Oh comon, subtitles only make sense when you understand at least a bit of the original language...
