  • You are the most bad-ass nerd ever. Or you are nerdiest bad-ass ever. I'll pledge $50.

  • Krugman is a politically clouded paper printer. Good luck Mr Murphy, but Krugman believes in secrecy of the Fed, ponzi theories and markets driven by socialist economic management, so those types never want debate, they want platforms where only their views are pushed by fear and name calling.

  • @DCUPtoejuice I'm pretty sure Murphy supports a market standard, which is to say that he supports whichever the market would actually choose to back currencies. That may be gold or silver... or it could be something unusual, like Bitcoin.

  • Paul Krugman isn't going to debate simply because he's not getting grilled on this subject in the media when he makes his appearances. He's going to have to be grilled constantly in every media appearance he makes before he actually consents. You'll also notice that he says constantly that, "Real economists can safely ignore the Austrians" but people are waking up to the fact that Krugman is a pretentious bastard.

  • @DCUPtoejuice Murphy is an Anarcho-Capitalist, so most likely.

  • I'll donate if the winner also rips out the heart of the loser, and takes a bite out of its still-beating, bloody mass.

I'll 10x my donation if the winner is Murphy...

  • Does Murphy support a gold standard?

  • MAKE THIS HAPPEN

  • This is a genius idea. Murphy ftw.

  • I would love to see this happen. After seeing Krugman participate in a panel debate on government healthcare, there is no doubt in my mind Murph would eat his lunch.

  • honestly we need to get Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert involved, it's the only way i can see The Krug forced into a debate with Bob, in which The Krug would lose horribly

  • Bob needs a better teleprompter.
