The Canadian city of Toronto has launched a massive security operation as it prepares to host the G20 summit of leaders of the world's largest economies.
Thousands of police are being deployed for the summit with many residents questioning the estimated $1bn cost of the operation.

@allyrukus23 I know what you mean about the media. And I'm not a big fan of cops. Alot of them are scumbags. But they were necessary for g20. thats what i mean.

@c312eal That's your opinion and you are entitled to it, but it was a peace protest and the cops 100% ignored the people rioting and smashing windows, but surrounded the people who were being completely peaceful and then dragged them off and arrested them. That my friend is the opposite of maintaining peace. To believe everything the media tells you is very unwise, especially in these times.

@allyrukus23 I think Police is necessary during massive protests. Especially at times like this during G20. Chaos can always break out. People trampling each other etc. I'm pretty sure these cops were trying to maintain peace. If you listen them to what they say, I'm pretty sure you'll be fine. If you don't of course they're gonna remove you. You should see protests in Taiwan. LOL I've seen protestors beat the shit out of the police. I'm not a cop loving person. Infact I dislike them. LOL

@c312eal and now that I read your response more carefully I see you misinterpreted entirely, no I did not say that the people in police uniforms were undercover protesters, I said the people in black outfits with their faces covered up and rioting were police that are not in uniform. They have been exposed throughout the united states G20 meetings as being cops. Research research research, for the sake of our people.

@c312eal Trying to discredit my research by putting words in my mouth? That's very mature of you. But seriously, I bet if CNN came on with the headline "Breaking News! Scientists discover world is flat" you would believe every second of it. The news only broadcasts what they want you to hear, from the angle they want you to hear it from. Try looking it up from multiple sources with different views and see where the evidence stands out. That's what I do anyway.

@8484281 They expanded police powers through the Public Works Act. "Police... at their discretion, can deny access to the area and "use whatever force is necessary" to keep people out.
