Police intercepted perhaps the biggest and deadliest cache of ammunition ever to found in the hands of an individual in Narok in what is now believed to be a major underground arms dealing syndicate. Over 110,000 rounds of ammunition, six guns and a horde of other weapons were found in the premises of a prominent Narok town based businessman identified as Munir Ahmed. The cache which included military fatigues was later displayed at cid headquarters in Nairobi and is believed to have been on transit to a neighboring country.
