You know what would make this more interesting? If you added comments explaining what you were doing and when.
I know this approach (as a regular business traveller and resident) like the back of my hand. That is to say, I know the sights. However I'm often left wondering what the crew are doing. I can see the flaps and hear the landing gear, but it'd be interesting to see it marked on something like this.
Just a thought.

@FlyBHX Thank you for the video and for your patience answering questions (even the stupid ones). I think (as a passanger) that the EMB 145 is beautiful and confortable. I hope you enjoy the front seats as I like the back ones.

ya its not difficult at all other than the occasional crosswind and fog

The Embraer in aircanada form is a wonderful plane, very comfortable and I love the height of the windows.....almost makes flying not suck. Anyhow excellent plane. I would be happy to fly one.

I like the landscape. very green :)

must be just us Scots being dramatic! though considering how often I fly in & out of there...you just made me happier to know that!
It was neither. Please do not try and guess the airline as those comments will be deleted. Thanks.

Great to see Edinburgh airport(my local) on approach from the front window. I've been told its 1 of most difficult airports to land at...is that true & if so why?

Not sure where you heard that - its a straightforward place to fly in and out of

@FlyBHX
If that was you flying the plane , then it was a really smooth landing!
I once flew back from faro in 2000 and the portugese co-pilot was at the controls and i can honestly say it is the worst and scariest landing in memory! We very nearly ran out of runway and had to do a u-turn at the end to get back on the taxi way! REALLY BAD. I suppose all rookies must learn. Cheers

@hearts76100 That's all very presumptive, there may well have been a very valid reason for having to go to the end of the runway to turn around, it's a common occurrence. As for the landing I can't comment, but I know that landing into Edinburgh can be pretty rough at times if it's windy. The only people who would have known who was actually at the control would have been the two people at front. They must have done a reasonable job as you walked away from it

Was that a TWEED approach from TARTN waypoint from the south for runway 24?
Did you decend using the DME ITH at edinburgh 108.9, ie start the decent at D9 from 3000 and then keep the 3 degree decent down to 1420 at DME 4?

It was several years ago but was probably initially radar vectored and the rest was a manually flown visual approach, not an ILS.
