(Short version) Of all the different "green" options we have, the most important choice is what we eat. Choosing organic food supports organic farmers who protect the environment by keeping harmful chemicals out of our air, water, and food supply. Those small, everyday decisions about what to eat add up to great big changes for our health and for our planet.

  • Spinach we packed for Dole was involved in the 2006 outbreak. It was a life-altering event for those affected and for us. At the time, our food safety practices were equal to any of our peers. Since 2006, we test all salad greens twice (at harvest/at packaging). Greens that show signs of pathogens are destroyed.
