This is a tribute to Shayla and Shianna who where hit by a car while holding hands crossing the street. Little Shayla died on May 8th, 2009 and shianna, held on for dear life, but lost her fight on July 8th, 2009. These two little girls were amazing, and full of life. Some say it was an accident, but I say it is a Tragedy. To know I will never hear their laughter ever again, is tragic, love you girls.

  • REST IN PEACE. I LOVE YOU GUYS. I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT DAY AND SEEING YOU GUYS LOOK BOTH WAYS BUT GETTING HIT ANYWAY. IT WASNT YOUR FAULT AND YOU ARE IN A BETTER PLACE NOW. RIP. 5.7.09 and 7.8.09

  • Unfortuntelly He got a way with this!!! That make me angerier than anything. I am sorry for your lose and sorry you didn't even get justice. This is such a sad story and I hope Shelly is healing in her heart. It will take a lot to heal and lots of time and friends and loved one to get her to that point.

  • This brings me to tears, although I know in my heart they are in a better place with no pain, no fears, only love and warmth and happiness.

Since I have been following this story, I remember these girls almost every day when I deal with my 5 year old daughter. When my temper runs a bit short , I am immediately brought to think of how lucky I am to have her, and what the mommy of these girls would give to be able to "deal" with her girls again. This has made me thankful every day.

  • I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what you're going through. This was such a terrible loss. They went well before their time. I hope that this guy never can drive again and should go to jail. I guess God needed them more but that doesn't make it any easier. Just know they are in heaven holding hands and playing together with the other angels and looking down on you forever. I cried when I watched this video. I have two kid's and couldn't imagine losing them. RIP angel babies.

  • I cant wait to see the driver of that vehicle put behind bars for a long time for this. This man is a danger to our community when he's behind a wheel of an automobile, something has to be done to stop him. RIP beautiful baby girls...give my Izaya hugs n kisses for me. I know you guys are having a blast up there, but we miss you so much down here...Shelly you are in my prayers

  • my heart goes out to your whole family, no one should ever have to go through lossing a child let alone two. God bless you and your family, your in my family's prayers.

Lets hope the grand jury doesn't let that man get away with this.

  • This is such a tragic thing to happen to a family, my heart and prayers go out to those any way connected to these two girls. The guy who hit them said he had one of his 'spells' where he blacked out and didn't see them..yet he is still driving. I hope the grand jury that was called punishes him, at the least his drivers license should be revoked for ever. RIP Shianna and Shayla.

  • I know I don't know the family but I want to offer my condolences to them. The girls were beautiful and taken way before their time. I hope the law will get off of their hands soon and prosicute the man who did this.

  • My heart feels for Shelly and her family. I was Shayla's preschool teacher at Growing Kids and this is such a tragedy. Shianna and Shayla were ALWAYS together. Never apart and now they can be together in Heaven. RIP SHIANNA AND SHAYLA ASTON.. You will always be in my thoughts!! You will always be missed!

  • Thank you so much for sharing this. Even though I don't know your family or these precious little girls, I can't help but feel such a sense of sorrow. When I heard that Shianna had passed away this morning, I sat at work at cried. I know that nothing will ever take away the pain, but I hope knowing that these little girls touched a lot of people's hearts will bring a smile for a moment.
