Catchcon 2009

On Saturday, April 25, 2009 in Seattle Washington..the most amazing day took place. Deadliest Catch fans from around the country (maybe even the world?) came together for a rare and unique event.

We got to go on board two of the boats that have been mainstays on the show for several years, the Northwestern and the Wizard. The captains (Capt Keith from the Wizard, Capts Johnathan and Andy from the Time Bandit, Capt Phil from the Cornelia Marie and Capt Sig from the Northwestern) were all there for fun, autographs and photo oportunites galore. Many crew members were there as well.

We were treated to lunch, a Q/A session with the Capts (freakin hilarious), a session with three of the Deadliest Catch camera men, a live Coast Guard demo on an open sea rescue, boat tours, and a sneak peak at a new show, plus the upcoming episode of DC. There was even an auction at the end of the day, featurring Capt Sig's Northwestern jacket, with proceeds to go to the Fisherman's Fund. Auction won by yours truly :)

It was the best day. No one who went will ever forget it.

Bring on Catchon 2010!!!!!
