she carried me in low times,sitten around the stereo, belting out her songs, she knew how to sing so's i sang me heart out with her. she and jerry g. were the only 2 performers i cried for when they died.

Saw Sandy & Fairport Convention at Brown University in Providence R.I. in 1974. The concert was in a small auditorium with no seating just sitting on the floor. Very intimate which allowed us to get right up to the stage. The fiddle player was fantastic & of course Sandy was out of this world.

Of course Simon Cowell may not have appreciated the sublime talent that somebody like Sandy had in the 70's.
So listening to this sublime music and lyrics all these years later is a reminder of how comtemnporary music has been allowed to sink to the lowest possible common denominator. Gos bless you Sandy...hey, we are still all talking about you girl!!! YES!!!

Tragedy that she died so young, at least we have wonderful songs to listen to and enjoy. This one always makes me so happy to hear.....what a voice! Few can match it.
