In this segment taken from the on-going documentary project "The Hemp Movement," we meet Disa Hobbs from French Meadow Bakery at the San Francisco Green Festival (www.GreenFestivals.org). French Meadow is 21 years in the organic baking business and uses Hemp seeds and flour in many of their products (from Bagels to brownies and of course delicious breads). Hemp is a powerful source of nutrients and vitamins and is also a sustainable crop.

  • people pretend to feel happy and good about drinking what is supposed to be some food of the gods, yet few realize that most hemp is (to the horror of most of you) IRRADIATED!!!

  • All hemp foods allowed across the US border are not irradiated.

Today, hemp seeds do not cross the border whole, they have already been pressed into oil or dehulled into a shelled hemp seed and packaged before they hit the US border.

  • Best bagel(s) - I've ever had ... although they are not inexpensive ... thnx. Disa H.

  • This is completely false information. No hemp is irradiated as there is absolutely no reason to do so.
