@natgurung it is at Gangotri in Uttarakhand state! , visited this place in the month of march and throughout Gangotri National park hardly there were about 30 people!

keep ganga free of pollution never use soap r dittergent wen taking a holy dip in maa ganga dont throw flowers r ghee r oil......jai maa ganga.......

This is the original place where Ganga originates.
Actually, here it is called as BHAGIRTATHI river & at Devprayag it merges with Alaknanda river & thereafter it is named as GANGA
