Alt. Stage 7 Boss: Shiva

If you let the General die on stage 6, you will go on to rumble at the White House and stop the fake General from spewing out lies!
This fake happens to be none other than Shiva, and he wants to kick your ass for stage 1~!
This Shiva feels a lot more like the one from SOR 2, which was a very entertaining fight. The fight is so good in fact, the press audience decides to lend you a hand with apples and even money for points; but remember, these goodies are right in from of the crowd, so its pretty hard to notice them.

This was played on "Very Hard" mode.

GRAND UPPA~!

  • I'm seeing all these comments about me cheating and whatnot.

I don't even know how to cheat at this game nor do I care to.

    That being said,

This is the Japanese version of SOR3, Bare Knuckle III. I will outright say it, in its hardest difficulty, its easier than SOR3.

    Seriously.

This video is only intended for those interested in knowing what the game has to offer in terms of bosses, and in their original form. (In this case, the JP version)

So I have no reason to lie about all this. :^/

  • Called my brother about this the other day, he played this game even more than I did and he confirmed, this video is NOT PLAYED UNDER HARD MODE, the description is FALSE. You can see my other comments below that explain it in a bit more detail.

  • I see,

I'm assuming you and your brother have both played the Japanese version? (Bare Knuckle III)

Its difficulty, and I assume overall enemy health and damage was increased in the US release.

    And it isn't subtle either.

I honestly have no reason to lie about this. Its what the menu stated, its what I selected, its what I played and recorded. (Through rom and emulator)

  • It's a crime that Max Man isn't playing during this boss fight.

  • i like the shiva sound when he dies >> lol

  • @khentimentiu Right you are... :P

  • @JoyStainProductions also the Japanese text is a dead giveaway :)

  • You can tell this is Bare Knuckle and not SOR because of Shiva's voice when he does his special move. That being said, who fucking cares what difficulty this video was played on. Honestly?

  • Weird how Shiva is the semi final boss in the last game, but he somehow ranks up to first boss in the 3rd game, and 7th boss too.

  • @ChoujinStrife There is a reason for that too. The US had a video game renting system; Japan did not. Most kids would not play a game again if they are able to beat a game in one sitting. Back then, the length of a game and longetivity was an issue for most NES, SNES, Mega Drive, and Genesis games. Unfortunately, this resulted in most localized games to be "longer" by increasing the difficulty in really cheap ways.

  • Also, i think Streets of Rage 3 would've been perfect if they made their Very Easy, Easy, Normal and Hard modes equivalent to the Japanese versions and made their Very Hard and even a Mania mode equivalent to the US version so that there would be a balance in difficulty.

  • Despite this being Bare Knuckle III, i must say you are pretty good with this game i mean Shiva was a pain to fight even on BKIII's Normal difficulty. SOR3's Normal or Hard difficulties are another story.

  • @f4rtg34ji Yes they are.
