need help please. ..I have the exact same lcd character display that came with a usb demo board and a single row pin header. No success with the programming of the demo board in turbo c.. IVe provided two links that relates to my products. The links below have been typed with spaces. thank you very much for any help that can be provided.

Ive been trying to program the demo board to display messages on the lcd screen but no success. Can you help me out please if you can.. ive tried doing the same thing
the first 2 lines work sweet but the bottom two are really lagged and display weird characters any ideas how to fix ??

Thanks. The ghosting is just a video artifact, it's not really visible in real life.

this is a nice setup, but isn't it simpler just to connect the display straight to the pc and control it directly using a software? what is the benefit of using the arduino for this purpose, or is it just a proof of concept? thanks!

Yes, absolutely, this could've been connected directly to the parallel port. I just did it this way to use a USB port and the get familiar with the arduino. See my follow up project which is a more complex LED matrix using an RGB matrix with 192 LEDs.
