@rash9876 MOST PEOPLE in india cannot speak pure hindi only some scholars can, most people speak hindustani a mix of hindi and urdu....this happens in every country not just in india/pak. Even the arabic spoken on the streets is very different from pure arabic. Infact in many arab countries they speak arab mixed with french and turkish and they have many different dialects and same with english as well.

@gaandman To get a glimpse of the Indian contribution to IT, read about Vinod Dham (inventor of the Pentium chip), Ajay V. Bhatt (developed USB & AGP), Raj Reddy (designed artificial intelligence systems) ,Sartaj Sahni (developed Data structures), Abhay Bhushan (developed TCP/IP architecture & email protocols), Pranav Mistry (inventor of the Sixth Sense), Aravind Krishna Joshi (defined the tree-adjoining grammar), Lov Kumar Grover, Narendra K. Karmarkar, Manindra Agrawal, etc.

@gaandman Firstly, Hindi & Urdu - earlier known as 'Hindustani' - were developed from the Khariboli dialect - though they incorporate Persian, Arabic & Turkic vocabulary also. Khariboli itself derived from the Sanskrit. Secondly, both Hindi & Urdu were developed in India & are national languages of India. Pakis have no stake in their development. In fact, they were developed at least 700 years before the advent of the name 'Pakistan' - which was coined in 1933 by Choudhary Rahmat Ali.

Muslims should live in caves with each other and sorrounded by water...lol
PART 3:
There is no question that scientific and technological progress can take place only in an open and fee society. As per Nisar, if a society (such as Pak's) discourages the ability to question, think outside the box, speak one's mind, and take risks, it can never produce "great men". It is no surprise, therefore, that Muslim contribution to the modern world is nil. The openness of Indian society - combined with its IITs and IIMs - give India a huge edge in becoming a major power.

PART 2:
Wealth creation - that is, the ability to improve one's standard of living - has been made possible only through science and technology. Industrialization - and its current successor, information-based economy - are a direct consequence of scientific and technological progress. In this regard, Indian leadership has been very prescient with its decision early on to establish world-class educational institutions such as IIT and IIM. Pakistan, sadly, offers nothing of the sorts

PART 1:
Mr. Nisar has hit the nail on the head by stating that (a) technology and economy is "the only ideology in the world," (b) without technological progress and prowess, a country will languish, and (c) technological innovation can take place only in open and free societies. The history of the West over the past 150 years or so is very instructive; if the West were to "take back" its innovations and inventions, modern life would simply not be possible anywhere in the Muslim world.
