@francisshen, cyndi lauper's version was great! Christina's version was more real to the song, because that's they way you suppose to sing an Etta James's song. When she was alive and she heard beyonce's version, and didn't like it because she didn't sing the way it suppose to be sung to act as her. Artist like Christina, Patti, Etta, etc..always sung like this. These songs have been the style of most black songs of the past, and they are more REAL to them and fans of their music.

this is a much better version that Christina A.'s who usually oversings things into oblivion. Christina A. ruins songs with all that oversinging, drama, arm waving, voice going up and down, up and down the scales (drives me nuts). I'll take this one by CyndiLauper any day over C.A.
