There no reference indicating Exodus in any historical paper left behind the Egyptian history.. Yet, The Exodus happened and the Scriptures: all the Scriptures testify the Exodus happened.. Now likewise the Exodus, David was not real only in Person and deeds. He was both Prophet and King and he was given the blessings from heaven and he was forgiven and his deeds were blessed in heaven..As a Muslim in faith and belief, I do believe in all stories mentioned in the Lord's Holy Scriptures

let me just put it this way at the risk of sounding ridiculous king David is a myth.. a myth that (as myths do) serves a purpose, i believe it to be a good myth i.e in its core it talks about doing the right thing in the eyes of god and showing humanistic virtues as well. having read the book once or twice i understand king davids character as complicated, i think his heritage and legacy should be reviewed through understanding that he is the one allowing his heir to make PEACE .
