Wonderful little indie-gem on Stanpico Records out of New York, circa 1983, from Starlenana Young, a classy lady with lots of talent who made her first mark in Slave, joining the band at the same time as Steve Arrington, on the epic "The Concept" LP. Starleana and fellow- Slave vocalist Curt Jones then teamed up and cut a slew of great records as Aurra (later DéJa). The date on this 12" is unknown, but it probably was been made in the time period between leaving Slave, the demise of Salsoul (which was home to Aurra) and forming Déja.
"Heartbreaker" was written by Starleana and Joshua Thomas, produced and arranged by Starleana with William and Mike Young (of Young & Co. fame, a great band that was comprised of Starleana Young's brothers, plus legendary bassist Buddy Hankerson).
a great hit produced by her brothers from young and company

@dajon3232 Young and Co is a great group! And Starleana sounds like no one else and no one else can sound like her.
